BIO
Dan is an award-winning freelance film & TV sound designer based at his studio in London.
​
After graduating with an MA in Sound Design for Film & TV at the industry-leading National Film and Television School, Dan's recent credits include 8-part Netflix miniseries "Bodies", 2022 Student Academy Award semifinalist "3 Promises", 2022 Slamdance selection "The Space Between You & Me" and Freedom Initiative award-winning "Two Square Metres".
In March 2023, he won the Verna Fields Student Award for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing at the 70th MPSE Golden Reel Awards in Los Angeles for his work on Raindance 2022 selection "Brutal". He has also received the Avid Award of Excellence in Sound and the Hideo Nishizaki Award for Best Sound.

Dan has a keen ear & hand for crafting rich soundscapes, immersive ambiences and emotionally captivating sonic moments that can help to lift the story in a way only sound can achieve. Through working on a wide range of projects, from independent feature films to major studio productions to art house shorts, Dan has consistently tried to push the boundaries of sonic storytelling that have earned him recognition and acclaim within the industry.

Dan is also a visiting lecturer at the University of Roehampton and at the National Film & Television School.
